Katherine Rasmussen received her Masters degree in Communication Design from the Pratt Institute in New York. She later polished her sewing and tailoring skills at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Eventually, graphics and sewing collided and in 2005 when she founded Reiter8 (re-it-er-ate).

Concern for the environment lead her to focus on creating products that reused materials in an unexpected way. Sailboat sails as a material resource came to her attention when she was vacationing on the Maine coast. Reiter8Õs goal is to offer products that have low environmental impact without compromising style.

Shop Policy
Reiter8 accepts payment visa, master card, american express and PayPal through PayPal's secure shopping cart.

Shipping
Domestic: Reiter8 ships bags and pillows via UPS Ground Service within 2-3 business days of your order. You will receive tracking info via email from UPS Quantum View. Time in transit depends on where you live., but it's usually 3-5 days (less for East Coast destinations). Express shipping can be arranged: please email an expedited shipping request or leave a comment at checkout. Luggage tags and mini wallets are mailed First Class with USPS.

International: Reiter8 ships international orders with USPS is not responsible for international taxes or tariffs. If you would like tracking, insurance or expedited shipping on your international order, please email your request or leave a comment at checkout.

Returns
SPECIAL HOLIDAY RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY:
All holiday purchases made between 11/26 and 12/24 of can be returned (unused and in original condition) for a refund, store credit or exchange until Jan 5th 2014. Returned merchandise must be unused with original packaging and tags intact. Reiter8 cannot assume responsibility for return fees or problems in transit. Original shipping fees are non-refundable and shipping fees on exhanges are the responsibility of the buyer/receipient.

Return/Exchange policy for purchases made prior to 11/26 and after 12/24/2012: Say what!? Reiter8 thinks you'll love your item, but if it's not the case you may return or exchange your item. You must contact Reiter8 via email within 7 days of receiving your order for exchange, store credit or a refund (excluding shipping fees). Store credit is valid for one year.

In case of damage in shipping, UPS may require an inspection. Please retain packing materials.

Reiter8 welcomes custom orders. Due to their 'individuality' custom orders are final sales.

Reiter8 collects NY sales tax (8.375%) on all orders shipped to NY addresses.
